A case rejected more than 100 times
Before founding Meritensa, Kairav Joshi spent two years and faced more than 100 rejections before finding the right law firm for his case. Along the way, he learned to develop a case counsel could assess and show the economics a firm could underwrite. He built Meritensa to make that path easier for other plaintiffs.

OUR FOUNDER
Meet Kairav
Kairav Joshi’s entrepreneurial journey began early. At 15, he became Chess.com’s #1-selling chess coach. At 17, he became a director at Chess.com University and, by 19, its president, leading the world’s premier online chess education platform.
He completed his bachelor’s degree in physics at 19. In 2014, he created Chess.com University’s Prodigy Program, pioneering structured live online chess education. At 20, he hired world chess champions and brought them into live online classrooms for the first time in history.
Outside of chess, Kairav has served as an advisor and fractional executive at numerous startups and small businesses.
When a dispute arose, he encountered barriers that kept him from resolving it. Justice was cost-prohibitive, and strong cases could be lost because plaintiffs couldn’t afford to litigate them. He also realized that strong cases could appear weak because developing them was too expensive. After overcoming those structural barriers himself, he made it his mission to solve them for others.
Kairav founded Meritensa to change that.
